Hot new Happiest Little Baker creating memories for children and adults alike






Who can’t recall those moments in the kitchen with your mom, dad, meemaw or bubbie – one-on-one, laughing and smiling? 


Loving this new company called Happiest Little Baker; I call it memories in a box.  The gist is a subscription, though you can buy just one, pre-measured baking kits that are geared to children baking with an adult. Happiest Little Baker’s founder, Lindsey Maurath wanted to translate her happy memories of baking with her mother and grandmother into fond memories for others.

Part 2 of 5 series on top hands-on cooking classes - Chef Egg




On my continuing quest to take and share my experiences at five hands-on cooking classes in Baltimore, my second stop was with the roving cooking instructor Chef Egg (Erik Berlin). I’ve taken his class twice, the last being held in the Blue Moon Too location in Federal Hill.  Chef Egg is a culinary instructor with Whole Foods in the Washington, DC area, a culinary instructor/television host along with his monthly hands-on class in Baltimore. The participants will only have to write an essay of 300 words or less to get a chance to become the happy owner of Outback Jack's Beach Bar N Grill.  The subject is simple: tell why you would like to own the restaurant and live in Paradise in Costa Rica. Essay has to be posted on the dedicated website before December 15th, 2015. The entry Fee is only US$ 175 per essay.

Also a prize will be awarded to the Top ten finalists. It will be a US$ 3000 all inclusive round trip ticket to Costa Rica, for a fun filled week of exciting adventures to end with the announcement of the winning essay during Saturday night festivities. Airfare, accommodation, food, and tropical drinks plus a side trip to Panama are included. The winner gets an ongoing business and can enjoy the beautiful beaches and jungle surroundings.​
