Kentucky Fried Chicken jumps on the presidential bandwagon

Kentucky Fried Chicken has ressurrected the Colonel Harlan Sanders persona in recent advertising starring with Saturday Night Live former cast member Darrell Hammond. Hammond did a good job. Now the fried chicken dynasty has switched mid-pressure fryer to comedian Norm Macdonald to fill the colonel's white suit. Possibly you have seen both comedians' portrayal of the southern colonel.

Keeping in the theme of the upticked interest in the presidential campaigns, KFC is kicking off a new series of ads called "Fryerside Chats", reminiscent of late president Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Fireside Chats. Colonel Sanders (aka Macdonald) will be a social commentator from wearing white past Labor Day, National Kale Day and football season.   Enjoy this advanced preview, the ads will start August 31st with a new Fryerside Chat weekly.
