Basil Lemonade
2 to 3 Lemons, juiced
4 Cups Water
¼ to ½ cup Fresh basil leaves
Sugar substitute or simple syrup
Add the lemon juice, water, and basil leaves to a blender/food processor. Strain the liquid to get rid of the processed basil leaves. Sweeten with sugar substitute or simple syrup to taste. Pour over ice. Enjoy.
Feel free to add a shot of vodka to this for a more adult refresher.
This was inspired by Sotto Sopra's Lemon Basil Sorbetto.

I tried this at Baltimore Chefs and Wine Experience and LOVED it!
Yummm... :)
I tried a variation of your recipe as a martini. Very delicious, yum.
I'm glad you all like it. I just love the fresh taste. It is definitely my drink of choice for the summer.
