New Year Eve’s countdown for the kiddies at Baltimore’s Charmery

Baltimore’s The Charmery, a creative ice cream emporium, is duplicating the excitement of the countdown to New Year’s Eve Ball Drop for the kids who just can’t stay up to midnight.  On December 31st, parents and children are invited to experience the rush of the countdown to 2014 to take place at 8 p.m.  Families will enjoy free glasses of sparkling cider so they all can toast the New Year.

Called the Kiddie Scoop Ball Drop, owners of the Charmery, the Alima’s, will have a mock ball drop set up so the children can join in on the countdown. So pack the kiddies up, grab the horns, silly hats and 2014 eye glasses and create the family fun. Be sure to be there before the Kiddie Scoop Ball drops at 8 p.m.

This is a great opportunity for parents and/or family members to create one of those indelible memories for the children. David Alima will be creating a specialty flavor ice cream just for the occasion. The Charmery’s owners David and Laura hope to make this an annual event.  Laura Alima looked up where in the world it would be midnight at 8 p.m. Baltimore time and it seems they would be celebrating somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
