Langermann's expands

pan roasted Alaskan Halibut
Langermann’s, the Southern, Lowcountry inspired restaurant located in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood, at the Can Company, has grown, adding additional seating for outdoor dining plus, get this…a bocce ball court. Be sure to grab one of those new extra seats for live entertainment on Wednesday evenings located on the patio and indulge in the ½ price wine special for that evening.

Now for those who know me and my obsession with lobster, Thursday nights  are my nights when Langermann’s serves up their lobster special of a whole Maine lobster, corn and red skinned potatoes for a mere $25.

At a recent media dinner, I was excited to taste new summer dishes on the menu like the pan roasted Alaskan Halibut plated with corn, asparagus, brown rice and the Scotch Egg, but was thrilled to see they put Lowcountry Louie back on the menu – one of my faves: a blend of lobster, shrimp, crabmeat, Creole mayo, corn accompanied with crostini.

I’ve talked about the patio expansion, new items returning to the menu and old favorite dishes that have come back, but wait, the tried and true iconic dish on the menu for this Lowcountry inspired restaurant, the shrimp and grits never leaves the menu, a must!  The grits, oh my, are heirloom grits, stone ground from the mountains of Georgia, so southern; I believe they have a “draw.”

Everyone at the dinner  enjoyed the 3 specialty cocktails; a Maryland Mule of a house made ginger beer and Sloop Betty vodka, the Proper Gin and Tonic, a combo of Thirsty Englishman’s Tonic #1 and Aviation Gin and my personal favorite the Pimm’s Cup – Pimm’s #1, Green hat Gin, watermelon and cucumber ---ideal for a warm summer’s evening.

Pig Candy, glazed bacon, is not always on the menu, it is a special. Don't miss out should it be available. Lip smacking gooooood!.
